The Kentucky Association for Gerontology (KAG)
2009 Annual Conference - "Active Aging: A 
Lifelong Experience" was held in Bowling Green Kentucky
at the HolidayInn University Plaza and Sloan Convention
Center on April 26-28, 2009. Conference Attendees were provided
with the opportunity to network and learn about new and
innovative programs and services, research and to explore
purpose, meaning andvitality in the second half of life.
Sessions focused on: Physical and Mental Health, Strategizing
for the Future, Active Aging, and Aging in Place. CEUs were
made available for Nurses, Social Workers, Licensed Professional
Counselors, Dietitians, Certified Health Education Specialists,
Marriage and Family Therapists and Certified Health Education
Specialists. Participants were able to view 28 various exhibits
on Monday April 27, 2009.

Approximately 157people attended at least one day or some
part of the conference.Evaluations indicated that conferenceparticipants
had a very positive and valuable experience.

Join us in Lexington
for the 2010 KAG conference. The theme for the spring conference
is "A Celebration of Aging, the Possibilities are Endless."
This event promises to be jam packed with information about
how to create your own positive aging experience. The conference
will be held April 25th through the 27th at the Holiday
Inn North, in Lexington. Mark your calendars to join us
in the Bluegrass as the area prepares for the World Equestrian
